Gilwell Park is the headquarters of The Scout Association and home to the original scout group, 1st Gilwell Park, dating back to 1919. The aims of the website are to promote the location, history and to provide information, to encourage an active community of ‘Wood Badge’ members; fund-raising and revenue-generation to support Gilwell Park.

Our Snapper CMS with our e-commerce app was ideally suited to deliver the key functionality for fundraising, with a range of options, from one-off donations, merchandising and regular giving all managed online via our e-commerce app and integrated credit card payments facility. 

Snapper has provided The Scout Association with an effective and versatile website, with the ability to manage extensive content using simple systems.

The site launched at the 1st Gilwell Park reunion in Autumn 2008 and has been positively received. Fundraising is already proving successful, both in the UK and worldwide. The first enewsletter, sent to 1st Gilwell Park members recently, had an impressive 93% unique opening rate.
